The brushed surface traps air for warmth, and because the underlying fiber is polyester, it accepts dye-sublimation ink. Print results are softer than on smooth knits, but the graphic becomes part of the brushed pile rather than sitting on top.

What is polar fleece?
Polar fleece is a 100% polyester knit that is brushed on both faces to create a soft, lofty pile. The brushed surface traps air for warmth, and because the underlying fiber is polyester, it accepts dye-sublimation ink. Print results are softer than on smooth knits, but the graphic becomes part of the brushed pile rather than sitting on top.

Does sublimation print look good on fleece?
Yes, but the print will have a softer, slightly diffused look because the ink is absorbed into the brushed pile. This is the expected look — graphics appear integrated with the texture rather than crisp on top. Many customers prefer this for hoodies.
