How to care for velvet.
- ✓Dry clean recommended for silk/viscose velvet. Polyester velvet can be machine washed cold on gentle cycle. Do not iron directly — use steam or iron on reverse side.

What's the difference between velvet and velour?
Velvet is woven, velour is knit. Velvet has a denser, more lustrous pile. Velour is softer and stretchier. Both are cut-pile fabrics but behave differently in cut-and-sew.
