About Overall Print

Overall printing (also called all-over print or AOP) uses sublimation to dye the entire garment — front, back, sleeves, side panels, even collars and cuffs — with continuous artwork. There are no print area limits, no color count limits, and no raised print surface.

At SublimApparel, we specialize in all-over sublimation on cut-and-sew apparel. The fabric is printed in rolls, then cut to garment panels, sewn, and finished. Panels are printed together so they match perfectly when assembled.

All-over print is the technique behind most esports jerseys, cycling kits, racing suits, festival merch, and statement streetwear. It is also used for one-off custom designs and limited drops.

How Overall Print Works

    Panel pattern design

    Garment is broken into panels (front, back, sleeves, side). Artwork is mapped to each panel with seam allowances.

    Wide-format print

    Entire fabric roll is printed in one pass on 1.9m wide sublimation printer at 4,800 × 1,200 DPI.

    Cut panels

    Printed fabric is cut to garment panel shapes using CNC cutter or laser for precision.

  4. 4

    Heat-press set

    Some all-over prints are heat-pressed at 200°C / 30 sec to ensure full dye transfer.

  5. 5

    Sew & finish

    Panels are sewn into final garments. Every seam, hem, and detail is finished in-house.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you do all-over print on cotton?

Sublimation all-over print only works on polyester. For cotton, we recommend DTG (no all-over) or DTF transfers (limited coverage).

Is there a minimum print area?

No. All-over print is the only technique with no print area limits — edge to edge, including over seams.

Can I see a sample before bulk?

Yes. We produce a strike-off sample (1-2 pieces) for sign-off before bulk production. Sample lead time is 7-10 days.

How long does all-over print last?

Lifetime. The dye becomes part of the polyester fiber, so the print is colorfast for the life of the garment.
