About Embroidery

Embroidery is the premium decoration method for polos, caps, jackets, and bags. Instead of ink, the design is sewn into the fabric using threads of precise Pantone-matched colors. The result is a raised, textured, professional look that conveys quality and permanence — and lasts the life of the garment.

At SublimApparel we run multi-head commercial embroidery machines supporting flat stitch, 3D puff, appliqué, and specialty thread effects. We can embroider on caps, polos, button-downs, jackets, hoodies, totes, and patches. We stock 200+ thread colors and match any Pantone reference within 24 hours.

Embroidery is best for logos with limited colors (under 12) and works especially well on corporate uniforms, sports caps, club polos, and any garment where you want the logo to feel like a permanent part of the fabric.

How Embroidery Works

  1. 1

    Logo digitizing

Your logo is converted into a stitch file (.DST/.EMB) by our digitizing team. We optimize stitch count, direction, and density.

  2. 2

    Thread color matching

We match thread colors to your Pantone reference or send a sample for sign-off. Stock 200+ thread colors.

  3. 3

    Sample run

First piece is sewn, photographed, and approved before bulk production.

  4. 4

    Production embroidery

Multi-head machines run the design across the full run. Each piece is hooped, embroidered, and inspected.

  5. 5

    Trimming & QC

Loose threads are trimmed. Every piece is inspected for stitch quality and registration before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many colors can I embroider?

Each thread color is a separate needle change. Most economical under 9 colors. We can run up to 15 colors on a single design.

What's 3D puff embroidery?

A foam underlay is placed under the stitches, raising them up off the fabric. Popular for caps and streetwear. Limited to clean, bold designs.

Can you embroider on caps?

Yes — caps are one of our most popular items. Front, side, back, and under-visor positions all available.

What is the digitizing setup fee?

One-time $25 per logo design, regardless of quantity. We keep the file on file for future reorders at no charge.
