3D embroidery uses a foam underlay placed under the stitches, raising the design up off the fabric in a sculptural, dimensional way. The result is a closer match to the original artwork than flat embroidery — and an unmistakable premium look.

What's the difference between 3D embroidery and 3D puff?

3D embroidery uses foam underlay with stitches sewn on top. 3D puff is a similar concept but typically used for print-style designs. Both create raised, dimensional effects.

Can I do 3D embroidery on garments other than caps?

Yes — we run 3D embroidery on heavyweight hoodies, structured polos, and twill jackets. The fabric needs to be firm enough to support the foam.

Does 3D embroidery last?

Yes. The foam and stitches are permanent. 3D embroidery lasts the life of the garment.

Can any design be 3D embroidered?

Bold, simple designs work best. Fine details, small text (under 8mm), and gradients are not recommended for 3D embroidery — we recommend flat embroidery for those.
